The Six Million Dollar Man TV Show Facts

Image
Six Millon Dollar Man ran frm 1973 to 1978. It was based on the 1972 novel Cyborg by Martin Caidin. The show started  with three television films in 1973 that were intended as pilots which then led to fives seasons beginning in 1974 to 1978. The plot of the show involves NASA astronaut Steve Austin who was severely injured in a crashed experimental aircraft. The operation to save his life and rebuild him with super strong bionic limbs cost 6 million dollars. Steve was given a bionic eye that could zoom in images from great distances. His right arm and both legs were replaced with bionic limbs. He could run at speeds over 60 miles per hour. His arm and legs were now super strong powered by nuclear energy. The show used slow motion effects to illustrate the Bionic Man’s speed as well as the speeding up the film.  The famous  dit dit dit sound used to represent Steve’s strength was used first  in the season one episode “Day of the Robot” and was first used to signify a robot’s power. Shocking Memories of the 70s

Image
In this video I discuss some of my shocking childhood memories of the 70s that you may or may not share and remember. The 70s were a wild time filled with fun and a lot fewer rules than what we have today. Some of the wild changes from the 1970's to today can be shocking and quite jarring like the crazy amount people smoked back then compared to today, the sheer lack of entertainment options, cigarettes and trash everywhere and yet somehow it all seemed so much more fun back then. When I was a kid, television consisted of 4 channels which had the big three networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, and then there was PBS for moments of utter desperation. I remember before I was even old enough to go to school waking up on a typical day to watch Sesame Street and the Electric Company. Some days though PBS wouldn’t come in and I would have to go outside and use what little strength I had at that age to twist the antenna that was on a pole in the ground next to my parent’s single wide trailer.   So

What Went Wrong with the Hulk 2003 Movie

Image
We discuss what went wrong with the 2003 Hulk movie. In 2003 Hulk debuted. It was directed by Ang Lee  and starred Eric Bana  as Bruce Banner/Hulk, alongside Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott, Josh Lucas, and Nick Nolte Possible spoilers, in case you haven’t seen it. Eric Bana commented that the shoot was "Ridiculously serious... a silent set, morbid in a lot of ways." Lee told him that he was shooting a Greek tragedy: The film was released on June 20, 2003, and it grossed $245 million worldwide. The movie made 62.1 million dollars on opening weekend. At the time that was the 16th biggest opening ever. Unfortunately, for  the movie it dropped 70 percent the next weekend. It had a budget of 137 million. If it wasn’t for the addition of the world wide box office the movie would have tanked completely. It became the largest opener at the time to not earn at least 150 million dollars at the box office. The box office tells you something went wrong with this movie. It’s obvious that
