Future in the Comic Books

Best Post-Apocalyptic Comics Characters and Series of All Time On this video I’ll list what I think are the greatest classic post-apocalyptic comic series and characters of all time. Naturally, most of them debuted in the 70’s when the post apocalyptic genre was at it’s biggest thanks to the Planet of the Apes. Kamandi, one of my favorites, is a lot like the Planet of the Apes and was published by DC Comics originally between 1972 to 1978. It features a young hero who lives in post-apocalyptic world where humans are reduced to savages and the animals talk and rule everything. All this is due to what creator Jack Kirby called the “The Great Disaster”. Kamandi is the last survivor of the human outpost in the Command D bunker near what was once New York City. The first book has it’s own Statue of Liberty scene like the Planet of the Apes only a lot more epic in scale. Kamandi later befriends other intelligent mutant humans and sets out to explore and have adventure in this crazy brave new

Who won the Incredible Hulk vs Batman 1980's Comic Book Fight

Image
In this corner the ever Incredible Hulk weighing in at a measly 1040 lbs at 7' tall, and in the other corner the Batman with the height of 6' 2" and weight of only 210 lbs. The Hulk usually turns out to be Superman's sparring partner in these DC vs Marvel showdowns, but this time way back in the early 80's, in one of the giant sized Marvel and DC collaborations, Batman did the unthinkable. He took on the Incredible Hulk. It wasn't Batman's idea of course. It was all due to that maniac the Joker. He just had to steal a gamma gizmo Bruce Banner was counting on to help him rid himself of the curse of the Hulk, and then convince the Hulk that Batman was the bad guy. The pointy ears just didn't sell the Batman's good guy status to the Jade Giant. But how does a superb athlete and and all around brilliant detective defeat someone that can knock down a mountain? Very carefully. In round one the Hulk grabs Batman and almost crushes Batman's back years b

New Panel from Liberty Ace Comic Book Project

Image
This is a panel from my Liberty Ace project I'm working on. I've got my new character Steel Thunder which I may go with something else like Steel the Thunder Warrior before it's all said and done. The monster is Liberty Ace's Uncle Jack a lovable mad scientist who turned himself into a monster. Steel is using his thunder punch here creating a super sonic thunder boom sound capable of throwing his opponents for a loop. The plan is to bring in some of my old characters I had with my old superhero website years ago. Time-Rider will be the first candidate as the story heavily relies on time travel. I may even wind up naming the book itself the ATTA Files or something to that effect. Then I could showcase various heroes and villains I've created over the years.  May take a while, I'm only up to page 14, but I want this to be something special before I release it to Amazon. Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Here's an ad I made for my Liberty Ace

80's Action Heroes Come to Workout in My Basement Home Gym

Image
Would you believe that Jean Claude Van-Damme, Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Will Smith, Michael Jordan, Elvis, and Bruce Lee came to my house the other day to workout in my home gym? Would you believe I use green screen technology to make it look like all these action stars came to my house to workout? Well, you'll just have to watch the video to see for yourself. I promise you won't regret it.

Caveman Comics Ug Lug Meets Daffy Duck Public Doman Looney Tunes Remix Cartoon

Image
Just for practice, I took an old 1939 public domain Daffy Duck cartoon and removed Casper the Caveman and replaced him with Ug Lug. Ug Lug is the star of a lot of the cartoons on my Youtube channel Tvcrazyman . He's also the star of Caveman Comics the graphic novel series on sale at Amazon .  I used the same sounds from the original, so Mel Blanc's Daffy Duck is still there. Ug even has the voice of Casper the Caveman. It was a lot of fun and a huge learning experience as I had to break down a lot of this cartoon frame by frame.

How is it that Superman can fool everyone with a disguise that consists of nothing else than a pair of glasses?

Image
How is it that Superman can fool everyone with a disguise that consists of nothing else than a pair of glasses? Sure Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but none of that equates to fooling Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White whom have seen Superman and Clark over and over again. How does he convince the world he's nothing more than a mild-mannered reporter with just a pair of glasses? Was Lois Lane and the rest of the reporters at the Daily Planet just dumb? Surely, an investigative reporter would have to be intelligent. In this video we discuss this with one of my favorite funny moments from the 90's tv show, Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman starring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. Dean wasn't in this particular clip, I have to say, but it's still worth watching as it features a time traveling super villain and H.G Wells. The answer may just lay in an old comic book fro

Batman TV show and Comic Book Parody Mixes

Image
What if Batman was inserted into all TV shows. Imagine Batman television show mixes like Batman on the Twilight Zone instead of William Shatner, Batman replacing Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum, Batman replacing Mr. Leonard Nemoy as Spock on Star Trek, or even Batman replacing Jerry Mathers as the Beaver. I got the idea thanks to DC Comics pretty much creating an over abundance of Batman comic books every month. I thought why stop with 20 books a month, why not have Batman take over everything. I think Adam West could have been great in Star Trek, and Michael Keaton would have been great playing Batman playing Magnum P.I. Batman could have replaced Rod Serling as the narrator for the Twilight Zone. I doubt Batman fans could ever get enough Batman. I know if Adam West or Michael Keaton were involved I'd be watching the show. Christian Bale would probably not be too happy with my television programming, but Batman is more than just a superhero action star. I think he would make a grea

1950's Duck and Cover Nuclear War Turtle Cartoon Remixed

Image
Just to have some fun colored some of the US government public domain film Duck and Cover classic public service film shown to school kids in the 1950's back when nuclear war was big on everybody's minds as well as the threat of communism and Russia from the Cold War. I added a couple of things for fun including my cartoon characters Coffee Cat and Ug Lug the Caveman. Originally, the video was meant to tell the viewer to duck and cover when a nuclear bomb is seen going off using a cartoon turtle named Bert the Turtle.

Origins of Time Traveling Cartoon Caveman Ug Lug

Image
It's been a couple of years since I started work on Caveman Comics , the story of a crazy caveman who marries a rocket scientist and then time travels back with her to the present. It's a lot of silly fun and drawing Ug has been a real learning experience. I think all the hours I've spent drawing these cartoony images have helped me with the latest superhero project I'm working on called Liberty Ace , even though those characters are much more realistically drawn than Ug. Anyway back to Ug, it would seem that time travel always has something to do with any stories I write. It could be that I'm obsessed with the idea. It's amazing to think it's been 9 years since I first published my time traveling novel series the Time Cruisers  which is a far cry from the cartoony adventures of Ug Lug. I guess, I just happen to love a wide variety, as long as it has some time travel or science fiction element. In order to promote my Caveman Comics graphic novel series, I ac

Billy the Kid from The Man from Nowhere Science Fiction Novel

Image
Billy the Kid is featured in my book, " The Man from Nowhere ". As most author's do, I called upon inspirations from past movies to help me imagine the character in my mind. I've read that most authors actually hear the voices of famous actors in their minds as they write the dialogue for their characters. My version of the Kid is accurate to historical records as to his size and weight, but I let my imagine conceive of what Billy would say or do in my book's fictional town, South Fork. He really was a small guy as portrayed in Young Guns  and acted by Emilio Estevez. Of course, in the west size meant nothing as long as you were good with a gun. Billy only measured 5' 7" tall weighing in about 135 lbs. My version of the Kid is really inspired by Young Guns, in that I imagined my Kid to be just as insane as Estevez portrayed him. Kid is just that, a kid, a wild, crazy and dangerous kid who is also one of the west's greatest marksmen. He actually revels

Ninja for President Video Parody -  I just finished a brand new cartoon parody of my Sam the Ninja character. He's a kid who thinks he's a ninja. Now he's running for President. Don't miss his platform ideas. From the video -  I am Smelly Sam the Ninja. My parents have told me one day I will be President so I decided to begin my campaign effective immediately. For I am ninja and ninja do not hesitate or wait for voters registration. First of all I declare my right to the presidency as I share the first name with America’s iconic hero…Uncle Sam. Hiyah Second as your President I will attack inflation with all of my ninja fury. One kung fu karate chop to the solar plexis and inflation will be out for the count. Hi-yah Third, I will not be known as sleepy sam or any other derogative term for I am always alert and awake as a ninja. In fact, as a ninja I never sleep, just in case my enemies may attack. (Falls asleep for a second)   Ohh, that was a test to give my e

How to Use Free Paint.net Software to Draw a Graphic Novel

Image
This video shows how I use free software called Paint.net to draw graphic novels that I have self-published at Amazon.com. For example of how some of my art looks like check out the image below featuring Ug Lug and the Kung Fu Cat. I love how easy Paint.net is to use. To be honest I have experienced a few minor glitches, but I think it's great for beginners especially and for those that like to keep it simple. The line tool is my favorite it allows you to easily bend and shape the line of your drawing. I'm sure Photoshop is superior in a lot of ways for those that are used to all of its capabilities, but you can't beat Paint.net's price which is free. I would link to it here, but I suggest you Google it as sometimes links change and I wouldn't want to steer someone to the wrong site. If you'd like to know more about Caveman Comics check out the Official Caveman Comics Site . For a list of all my books including those I've used this software to create go to
